I host this site, but I am not the creator or owner of the vault. I claim no copyright over any of its contents; all rights belong to Aaron Bopp. I first discovered TIM^[[email protected]] in 2022, at a time when I was searching for a better way to think, write, and organize knowledge. From the moment I opened it, I felt that it was not merely a collection of notes, but a living system. To me, TIM was one of the first real examples of Obsidian as a personal `Thinking Machine` — a system for thought, memory, structure, and discovery. When I began adapting parts of its structure into my own vault, the original Obsidian Publish site eventually went offline. That made the process unexpectedly difficult, because TIM had become one of my most important references for understanding how a living knowledge system could be organized. For the past four years, I have kept a private archival copy of this vault and continued to study it while developing my own system. Even now, I still return to TIM to learn from its structure, its architecture, and the traces of thought preserved throughout the vault. I had wanted to bring TIM back online through Obsidian Publish for a long time, but I did not feel it was right to do so without the original creator’s permission. After I finally found a way to contact Aaron and received his permission, I am now publishing this vault here so that others can study and be inspired by it as well. Its architecture, together with concepts and practices such as ontology, taxonomy, and evergreen notes, deeply shaped much of what I later built. My hope is that this published vault allows others to encounter the same sense of possibility, structure, and inspiration that I once found in it.
