Most mathematicians will tell you that the reason you drill practice problems is not to know the answers, but to notice patterns and build [[intuition]]. We need to become fluent in the language of math in order to solve it's most complex problems. This is also likely why so many people struggle with math. They should be approaching it as language course, but they expect it to be immediately accessible and applicable. Inversely:: [[Experts are often far too confident in the effectiveness of their theories]]. Just because nobody can understand you or your subject, doesn't mean that they are less intelligent that you.
